Training and development

As the old saying goes, “training is an investment, not an expense”. If implemented correctly, training programmes can provide substantial returns in productivity, retention, team morale and the quality of work produced by your employees. The long-term gains associated with training can make a real difference, and it’s one of the most important investments a company can make.

Loch HR provides in-house training courses for businesses of all sizes and industries, helping to develop the skills of either management or the workforce. We will work with you to carefully identify and understand your requirements, before tailoring bespoke training programmes to the unique needs of your organisation.

Employee

Have to say I love working with Kez – she’s like a breath of fresh air and has been so helpful and supportive over these last few weeks. It really made a difference to my workload.

Loch HR Client

We recently implemented a new HR software solution with Loch Associates Group, and have to say the level of service and training was excellent. The software itself has made many of the HR related challenges much easier to manage, and the assistance with the set-up, implementation and training has been first class. If you’re looking for an affordable HR software solution, I would certainly recommend Loch Associates Group very highly indeed.

Nick Huxted, Gooey Digital

Finance Director, Loch HR Client

The seamless service between the HR and legal teams in the Loch Associates Group has proved invaluable to us when we needed support with urgent, sensitive matters. The response was appropriate, professional and timely – we could not have asked for more. As a result of this excellent start, we have engaged HRA to provide us with ongoing support on employee matters safe in the knowledge that they will engage with their colleagues within the Group when those services are needed.

Chairman, Board of Trustees

Bruce has managed to ignite a real interest in learning about First Aid provision and the importance of the First Aid role in the workplace here at London Expedia and Egencia Manchester offices. Previously to Bruce’s individual approach to carrying out Site based courses, it was a struggle to truly engage delegates to enrol on a three-day course, which took time out of their busy schedules. However, with a few courses under his belt, he has received fantastic feedback from employees. We currently have forty employees all waiting to enrol for 2018 (in just one Site alone) which is truly a remarkable turnaround. Well done Bruce!

Training for managers

Managers have the most direct influence on the employees they line manage, and they carry the responsibility for aligning the performance of their staff with overarching organisational goals. Being a good manager can be a challenge, however, particularly for those new to the position. Our training programmes not only benefit an individual’s core competencies, but can play a vital role in shaping your business’ culture and performance.

Our courses can help embolden management to confidently navigate difficult conversations with their employees (addressing issues such as high levels of absence or inappropriate behaviour), while also offering guidance in “soft skills”, such as effective communication, managing relationships and how to motivate employees.

Training for the workforce

The majority of employees don’t appreciate the opportunity to learn; they demand a working environment where things feel fresh and innovative, rather than stagnant and uninspiring.

Bespoke training programmes can demonstrate to workers that their employer is investing in their development and future success. This will ultimately help them to feel committed and loyal, and convince them that they are an important and valued part of the organisation.
